Hope and Help for Living with Illness
Karen Zielinski; foreword by Richard Rohr

"Find the power to offer new and real comfort to others, and to our suffering world."
—from the Foreword by Richard Rohr

Chronic illness or a new diagnosis can be overwhelming, whether you or a loved one are directly affected. Medications, treatments, and paperwork are a burden, relationships are strained, and God can seem distant. Drawing from her own experience, Sr. Karen can help. She'll show you how to:

• accept your condition
• get in the right frame of mind for a medical procedure
• find comfort in prayer
• help yourself by helping others

and so much more. Let the practical suggestions and stories of hope help you face the future with confidence and faith.
KAREN ZIELINSKI, O.S.F., was the director of communications for the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio, from 1991 to 2008. She is now director of Canticle Studio, offering creative products that focus on spirituality and health. She holds a B.A. in education and an M.A. in music. Her columns appear in St. Anthony Messenger magazine and other journals. She lectures on chronic disease and coping strategies. Karen has lived with multiple sclerosis (MS) since 1975.
